Case 580K Phase III after JJG 2000

Been this years thing that it was slow to get going in the morning. Short warm and good to go. Been thinking about that. Then had a complete brake failure. Got every bit of life from those parts. There was a bunch of brake materials in the oil. R ebuilt the brakes. cleaned the suction screen and put fresh Hy-trans in. And now this. When cold. It pulls fine in forward and reverse and the cutout buttons on the loader and shift levers are working correctly. Once it reaches operating temperature the shuttle fails = very weak forward or reverse; Near zero. I changed the filter and it seems to get going from cold start better, but the failure still persists. I think next step is pressure tests or is there a probable cause?

You may have some brake material in pressure regulator spool in trans control valve.

Could have been it Coy. Thank you. We pulled the forward reverse valve. It showed a lot of brake material and some parts were difficult to extract do to sticking. Stripped it of everything but one seat and soaked cleaned the valve body. Cleaned all the guts and re-assembled. Put fresh hy-trans in it. The machine responded well to this. Cannot say it is fixed yet. But it is putting power to the ground for now.

Well it’s at least doing better. But you will have to address the brake issues at some time

His first post says the problem started when he rebuilt the brakes
