Is the ring and pinion replacement on a 580SK front axle pretty straightforward, or in other words like most any truck with a removable carrier (or stump if you're in Tennersee)? What components are likely to be damaged if the backhoe is dropped down hard on the front driveshaft right at the pinion flange, without a guard in place? Thanks, Garret
I'm surprised no one has done this before. I'll consider this a good thing, that the front axle must be pretty much bulletproof then.
