hey,was wondering if anyone knows where the seat position switch goes in a 2005 case 580sm have the switch but can not find were it plugs in.From the manual i’ve figured out it goes on the bottom of the seat obviously but can not find the connection that runs to the instrument cluster to plug it into under the machine.Also was wondering if this has to be on to work the pilot controls because they are currently intermittent.
Seat switch is on the right hand side when facing the steering wheel. The switch is near the rear of the seat. The wire harness comes through the floor. The position switch when working will drop rpm when you go from backhoe position to loader position. It will also set the warning buzzer of if machine is put in gear when the seat is facing the backhoe. It is quite common for this switch to become damaged if a coat is hung over the back of the seat. When the machine is put in gear an N on the dash with a line through it will be on dash. Intermittent pilot control operation could be the relay over top of the back axle or the control box over the axle on the LH side of the unit.
Are those make/bake switches. Or 25/35 ohm switches?
do you know where the seat switch plugs in because i can not find the connecter it goes to
