Case 580ST ??

alrman ยท 2010-10-29 19:17

I realize there is some hype about the 'N' series in US - but I was just doing a search on the EU Case parts catalogue (580G :spaz) & I noticed a listing for 580ST -it probably isn't supposed to be there yet! - looks very much like the sideshift version of the 'N' Can't find a thing about it on the net - Does anyone have some 'inside' info?

Somebody must have heard something about this ???? :beatsme Sure looks like a "N" hoe on a 580SR

It's showed up on Australian parts catalogue now - asked the local dealer about it & they say they know nothing about it. Probably have a few SR's to sell & don't want anyone to know a new model is coming...

Does look the goods ATCO, time will tell. Hope this may help turn things around for their market share here in Australia - when it finally gets here that is. Did any body notice the fully intergrated hydraulic quick hitch How good is that! Hit the link & take the walk around & hit the + on the BH bucket. I've added parts picture as well - looks like it might work well when new - hope there is a mechanical replacement if required.

Dumb question I guess, but what does the 4 in 1 mean for lifting capacity?

  8. #8alrman2010-12-27 19:03

A 4in1 bucket weighs more than a skid bucket - so the spec shown is the lifting capacity with the machine fitted with a 4in1 bucket. If the machine was fitted with a skid bucket (very unusual) it would be able to lift a higher capacity. If the machine was fitted with some type of quick coupler it would weigh more than a 4in1 bucket & would then have a lower lifting capacity... That shoud be clear as mud

That hyd. quick attach has been used here for a good...6-7 years or so. It's the same as the std Case Q/A that they have had for 25yrs except with a pin that can retract itself. They work great, have seen a few machines with the early design of it and it always works prett decently.
