Hi I have a 1995 case 621b wheel loader amd having issues with the transmision. When at a low engine idle the transmision will come out of gear when you want to ease up to something But if pushing something that puts a load on it stays in gear and if using a higher engine speed it is fine to We have changed the HLD.filters on it already any body have a suggestion why it is doing this Thankyou
Most times, transmission issues with these is an electrical problem. What you are describing sounds more like a worn out clutch pack & OR charge pump. Testing the transmission pressures with test gauge would be a good start.
Hi Kohle, please also check voltage to t/m system or entire machine. Could imagine TCU jumps out of gear with low voltage due to low engine (alternator) rpm. As alrman suggested, check oil level, pressures to clutches.
thanks to both of you I will try both ideas. I hope it is not clutchs though not sure if parts are even made for it any more
Hi Kohle, no fear, parts are still available from ZF. As long as oil is clean and doesn't smell, clutches are fine.
