Case 8920 magnum tractor

We have a case 8920 that's giving me trouble. One day tractor started fine turned it off and has not started since. The fuel shutoff sol. Pulls in and there is a clicking from the solenoid on the out side of the firewall. So far have changed the cab solenoid checked for shorts etc. Checked plugs on the bottom right of cab. Cleaned connections pulled starter had tested said it was bad had it rebuilt still nothing the starter solenoid does not even click. Wired in another ground wire from starter to frame and it will click the starter solenoid but is pulling major juice the # 2 battery ground will jump like crazy. Rolled engine over by hand it's free. Pulled starter again had tested it's good. The dash panel is showing normal only thing is that the exhaust temp bar graph is blinking but has been doing that. The cab solenoid that was put on is the updated from case actually tried 2 of them. I would appreciate if anyone has any ideas to give me some pointers. Batteries are good load tested and new also cleaned the ground connections on frame Tia..

Maybe check cable resistance on all cables to starter. You could be dropping a lot of voltage across an old cable. Are cables getting hot while cranking? I have made up heavy short cables and connected battery next to starter neg. and touched the pos to start a tractor. As these machines get older, everything works less efficient. Sometimes it takes correcting several problems to get things going again. I had a 30 year old tractor that needed a starter, cables, and new battery to really get it working properly again.

The only cable that got hot was the extra ground cable that we put on. I hadn't been back to the tractor until today and unfortunately it didn't fix itself going to look into it some more now.
