i changed out the swing gearbox oil, while doing this i noticed a small leak (see pic), what is it?
Looks like your counter balance valve plug. See the online parts catalog. Should be the following seals: 154471A1, 154487A1, 153970A1.
thanks, on the other side is one identical to it, but it is screwed in farther, not to sound completely stupid...but, i didnt know if the amount it was screwed in constricted the flow similar to the valves that control the rear pto on a tractor, can i simply just tighten it? I am going to have to break down at some point and get the parts book...
Parts books are online. http://partstore.casece.com/us/parts-search.html#epc::home I would tighten it. You will probably need new seals to stop the leak.
