are all of these models just newer versions of the previous model? I'm assuming they made some improvements and changed the letter. :beatsme what are some of the improvements they made?
Case made many many changes. Hard to know where to start. To keep it short, the C model had a big design change(frame) over the B, the shuttle could now be removed without splitting the tractor. The D had a larger redesigned cab. The E model was re-powered with Cummins. The K was a major redesign, like the C model. The hoe attachment became part of the frame on a K, and later K's had the transaxle completely changed. Every model had it's weaknesses but the E was generally the most problem free and highly regarded of the older hoes. Not sure about the L but many of the K's weaknesses were addressed. Others will add. Phil
Hey, da'yoop. I have had both Case 580C's and 580SE which i have now. The only real problems i had with my C's where the Brakes which i know is a on going problem with them. I don't know alot about D's but the SE i have now is a great machine and have not realie had and Major problem just the normal nickel, dime stuff. LoL
thanks for the answers.........they'll help me decide which model. i think i'll be looking at the se's. now....about those john deere hoe's...........lol
Where do the "CK's" fit in? Are they the same as the "C"?
They're all CKs. It stands for Construction King. Most of the time when someone says 580 CK, they mean the first 580's, before a letter was added.
i have a case 580e and the biggest problem i have had with it was the injector pump and that was it the machine starts right up in anyweather will go 30hours stright and never let me down. i love it the hoe is strong powerful.
