I’m got a 2012 case cx130B and it’s showing check engine on the screen it’s also pours out black smoke when at you put load on the engine like moving the arm in or out even at half throttle and Try’s to die out a bit it’s still starting first turn and doesn‘t smoke when idling just when you add revs for a second or when you put load on it , seems like an air problem ? fault code on dash 0488 tried googling the code but couldn’t find much ? any help would be greatly appreciated!
The following was all I could find. 0488 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation system is faulty. See attached
Hi Kobe. Thanks for your help , I priced up an egr valve but at £390+vat i thought i better try and clean / free it out a bit if the motor wasn’t burnt out. And yes it was stuck so freed it up and put it back in and no more engine fault codes and no smoke at all now no black or grey smoke so hopefully it keep going a bit longer now. Thants again for pointing me in the right direction !
