Got to have a lookup close at one of these today,
Some companies here that service the rails use these. It can be difficult driving down a rail line with one side inside the track rails and one outside. The machine leans too far right or left depending on which side you drive on. These help but the greatest damage is caused moving on and off the rails. The inside of the front tires get sliced to ribbons on the inside. Rails tend to be near razor sharp and make quick work of shredding sidewalls. Any time we know a machine has been working on the rail lines we slide under the machine and check the inner side walls for damage.
