Morning everyone, Im looking for some help identifying this part it needs a desk replaced up top and ho Penn can’t find it in there manuals hoping someone might know what it is. Looking at the machine from the side where the hydraulic tank is it’s mounted left side of the hydraulic tank and straight back, behind the filter housing. I’ll attach some pictures as we thanks in advance. Chris

20 different flavours of 235 - A, B, C, & D. It would be nice to know which of them you have with a Serial Number...........

Absolutely, my apologies it doesn’t say A,B,C,or D anywhere but here’s the serial number. Serial:64R01807 Arrangement: 508278 Engine:13Z06572

No worries, but you see how it helps to narrow down the field. So your machine is an early model 235, often referred to as an A model even though it does not say that on the decals, just to distinguish it from the B, C, & D. A question. I see some large hydraulic hoses coming from it. Where does each of them connect at the other end.?

Is this it by any chance.? You have to bear in mind that the valve is oriented differently on your machine to the way it appears in this illustration.

    It is Main relief valve

I see some code 61 hydraulic fittings which use o-rings to seal and that pressure relief valve block will have a couple of o-rings on a squish plate. I would verify exactly where it’s leaking by spraying down with Brake Kleen and using air pressure if needed to keep it clean, to verify leak area or dye, if you have it. Make sure all the o-rings are good on all the plugs.

That does indeed look like it and sorry for the late response I’m not near the machine today but that definitely looks like the part

Are these all your typical cat flat face o-ring seals or an uncommon seal I need to order? Thanks in advance for the help

Well the code 61 usually uses a thicker O-ring, and the plugs and squish rings will be in any kit. Generally, the flat faced Cat O-rings are thin but they will work for some. Any regular O-ring kit will take care of everything you have.

In that case let's remove all speculation. Take a look at the attachment. I think it has everything you need. If the seal that is leaking happens to be #22 shown on Pages 3/4 then it's a simple circular section 90 Duro black nitrile O-Ring; 37.7mm inside diameter and 3.53mm cross section diameter.
