Anyone had problems with roller frame sliding off back axle on track machine
Bearing Should be 2 bolts with a cap that hold it on to the shaft. No grease to the spherical bearing eats up the bearing and makes it loose. But the back should NOT come off with out the front also due to the front is suspended on the frot axle. may have bent axles. Make sure the axles are not broken. They are loaded so that with out a load the should be toed out looking at the machine from the front. With a load it bends or flexes the machine to level out. Check your tracks if they are feather tipping on the inside CAT has an weld update for the drive motor supports that bend real easy causing track derailment issues. Once those tracks derail they will continue due the steel belt inside the track.
This machine only has bout 500 hours on it when the guy brought it to me (broken) I looked at machine and thought there was no way axle would stay on because both side at the back are missing the plates, like they were not put on from factory. Just wonder if there is PIP or PSP on this. Didn't know if anyone has seen this.
