Machine has a flashing parking brake light. As soon as key is turned and engine started. Problem is not all the time. Its a hit or miss issue. Both the safety bar and seat switches are working correctly. I'm thinking the parking brake coil is wearing out.
Possible but unlikely. Please can you confirm the machine Serial Number. Troubleshooting procedures will follow on the back of that. Have you taken a look at the area under the floor yet where the two ECMs are located.? Their condition, especially the electrical connections, may surprise you.
S.N. PDT00919 Unit may run all day if you stop and restart its hit or miss as to whether the parking light is going to flash as soon as you turn the key.
Believe it or not but this is the 3rd instance of these symptoms in just a few weeks. This THREAD pretty well covers everything you might need. It ended up as being a pretty comprehensive "how to". During the course of the troubleshooting process errors were found in the RENR6417 procedure that you need to be aware of. Specifically you need to read Posts #55, 56, & 58 on Page 3 and use that information along with RENR6417. You will need RENR6417-01, REHR6419-06, and the document on the operation of the Interlock ECM. You can download them from the first post of the same thread. As I mentioned earlier if it was me would go straight under the floor and examine/clean as necessary the connectors on the the Interlock and Auxiliary ECMs, and see where that gets you.
Thank you!
This illustration might help. The box marked #21 on the RH side of the machine is the AUX ECM, the one marked "B" on the LH side is the Interlock ECM.
