Need a S/N for the Cat folks on here. No faults/warnings? Does the front end turn suddenly to the right while in reverse?

Also a photo of the instrument panel in the upper RH corner of the cab. It may well be that you have access to electronic diagnostics which would be a great help.

S/N is RED02388. There are no faults/warnings. So far, it has not turned suddenly to the right while in reverse.

Why's the fault lamp lit up in the one picture you attached? Definitely has a fault if its lit up.

Well you're in luck. You have the optional RH panel that lets you get into diagnostics. The three buttons underneath the window are the key. See the attachment which details how to use them to get into Service Mode for diagnostic purposes. For now you should only be interested in Service Mode 1 (Active Diagnostic Codes) and Service Mode 3 (Active Events). Don't worry about Modes 2 & 4 just at this moment. Post back with your results. NOTE: When you first enter Service Mode you will be immediately in Mode 1.

That's what happens when you listen to the customer without checking for yourself.

    Here is what I get. 1703-13, 1704-13, 1705-13, 1706-13. 367-3, 2685-8, 2686-8, 1251-4 . E875-3, E875-2, E875-1

So you aren't the customer.? Sounds like you need to be asking him a few questions such as what has been done to this machine recently......... The four -13 Active Diagnostic Codes 1703/4/5/6 are for the Left & Right Hystat Drive Pump Fwd & Rev solenoids requiiring calibration. Why this would happen unless someone has been fiddling with the machine is a mystery. 367-3. Did you mean 357-3.? That is for the bucket tilt solenoid and would make more sense. 1251-4 is low alternator output. I would suggest you troubleshoot this first and see what Active Codes disappear after it is fxed. See attached. 2685-8 & 2686-8 refer to the Left drive motor #1 & #2 speed sensors. See attached. All the E875 Events are low system voltage and a direct consequence of the 1251-4 Diagnostic Code.

Thanks for the advise. Tomorrow or Wednesday I'll have a chance to work on it. I plan to check alternator connection and verify voltage. Then check the wiring harness and connectors between the joystick and drive motors. Hopefully it's something obvious.
