Just replaced injection pump. Fired it up it ran at idle for a few minutes pulled it out of the shop to warm up to temp and started to idle rough then lost all power tried to pull it back into the shop and it died. I advanced the pump it stopped smoking but still loses power after about 2 minutes, won't idle up nothing.
Restriction in fuel inlet to priming pump. A serial number would yield more info. How many hours on unit? Why was pump changed?
Put 1 PSI on the filler of the tank with a blow gun with a rag ball plugging off the hole. The rag ball is to prevent over-pressuizing the tank. If you disconnect the fuel line before the fuel filter, the fuel with 1 psi on the tank will roar out the hose into a container if nothing is plugged. With outlet of filter, line disconnected and something to catch fuel have someone turn on the key and fuel should pour out fast from filter. This would help eliminate problem in your fuel filter housing, or in the line feeding from the tank. Can't remember if your tranfer pump is before or after filter. Anyhow test the line from the tank to as far as possible to make sure there is no blockage. As Heymccall asked what is the history. Simon C
