Does anyone use non cat oil in cat machines? I have heard of people using generic 303 in their machines. I know 303 does not meet cat specs. I am looking for a cheaper alternative to cat hydraulic oil. Any advice would be helpful
The cheapest alternative to Cat-branded hydraulic oil is either an SAE10W or an AW32 hydraulic oil from any of the major oil manufacturers (Shell, Texaco, Conoco, etc, etc.) They all meet Cat spec and are probably half the price.
