I would like to get some tips, tricks or maybe service procedures to replace swing bearing and pinion shaft CAT03018JBFA03612
Good day Suggest you remove the swing box plug the lines turn the superstructure ninety degrees to the undercarriage - disconnect crawler lines and extend with temporary lines - jack the ballast and use the equipment to raise the front after removing the bearing studs. When clear drive the undercarriage with bearing clear - replace the bearing and drive back - reverse the procedure. Swing box will most probably require a press to dismantle. Hope it helps Kind regards Uffex
Why do you need to replace the bearing? How many hours do you have on the machine?
The pinion shaft is damaged and maybe bearing, cat dealer sells only complete swing motor group Can get aftermarket pinion shaft and bearing but not sure about their quality
With that kind of damage you have more problems to be revealed. You are correct about the house needing to come off the lower. Cat had a problem awhile back with 308 size excavators and the bolts on the slewing bearing coming loose or breaking. Maybe you have something similar.
