A friend of mine has a Cat 302.5, all the hydraulics work great except when I place the bucket on the ground and try to side grade. If the bucket touches the ground at all, it will not rotate. in fact it won't even move a 18" rock to the side. The owner said it will, but you have to hit it like a golf ball. I told him that's bad for the machine. Any ideas?
Swing is not designed to move objects or level out piles. How long does the upper structure continue to turn after you release the controller?, 1/4 turn? 1/2 turn? You may have low swing pressure. Typically swing is set lower than dig pressures. You also may have a weak swing motor.
