Might I ask why you need the month/year of the excavator.? Certainly not to get parts & service information. Please check the PIN Plate again. Are you mistaking the number "0" for an "8".? The photo below shows the different way they appear on the plate. The reason I ask is that 88481 is unfeasibly high for a Serial Number, 00401 would make much more sense.
