Ive seen these on facebook for sale with the seller claiming to be the importer. Parts maybe a problem tho the cat parts sight will bring up the parts diagrams
After a little study of the parts this machine has mechanical fuel system and the parts shows it serial to have common rail injection.... little bit of copy and paste going on here!

There's more than enough red flags to make me want to steer clear.
The serial number plate ( cat0308cejf8c00348 )from the FB listing for @Nige : Sounds very similar to my FB my CAT305.5E2 . Also a freshly repainted import from China. Mine had suspiciously low hours for the amount of wear on the tracks and bucket. And way overdue maintenance. What machine needs repaint after only 500 hours? Make sure to inspect the tracks, sprockets, rollers and bucket for wear. My painful saga here: HeavyEquipmentForums
That may be a 2023 308e2 for some market but it ain't supposed to be in North America. This is what a 2023 308 is designed for NA is supposed to look like - 2023 308 Machinery Trader And these machines are built in the USA.
The plate below the serial plate gives it away instantly. NA Cat machines don’t have an oriental character plate below the serial number. ALSO note that second serial number plate says 2017 not 2023 like the ad claims. Machine is almost a decade old not, not three like the heading of the add claims. Also while I don’t deal with the lawn and garden size machines like the 308 very much I can tell you that the larger Japanese produced machines have a diamond shaped export sticker (attached) that looks like this denoting it’s a Japanese made machine built to export from Japan. There is no way in hell I’d buy a grey market machine coming out of China especially with fresh paint. Scammers abound.
