Engine will not shut off when key switch is moved to off position. Every thing else runs fine. Any ideas. Thanks. Ran
Check the controler and cable on the engine to see if it tries to pull the shut down lever.
our cable came loose one time and it did this
On mine the ball linkage at the fuel pump came apart .... it just wore out and fell off ....... check to see if you have excess play there I hope the machine is still not running in your back yard, while you are waiting for a solution ?? .....LOL
We have a 311 that had a similar problem. Check the right hand console wiring harness.
we had one, it was a bad solenoid, i think, call mechanic, "Just kill it with a function, that's what the guys have been doing." Ok. try it won't die. so then I push all that will work including the tracks. It sputters to a stop, I thought, the engine proceeds to run backwards, smoking from the wrong places, try to seal the exhaust, now the intake. still sucking enough air to run backwards. I was walking to my car, when a laborer said sjdie kkhi olle jjud phjjk onoo heelokli . And started running toward the hoe, I turned around to see smoke pouring off the hoe. Good thing he wasn't hurt cause he would have still been laying there, because in his panic mode his forgot the 10 words of English he knew.. About an hour of running backwards the mechanic shows up and gets the machine to stop. But it's my fault, that he hasn't fixed a machine that was doing it for about a month, off and on. there was no warning label that stated mechanic can figure out what causing this problem.
Like CRAFT, our cable broke at the hyme joint. Just had to work the throttle lever by hand to shut it off.
