When cold truck engine starts hits several times then dies. Turn key off turn back on crank engine for awhile and then it will start, and run fine. After engine is warmed up and then shut truck off to eat lunch, and come back later it starts but acts slow start and then will build rpms . Can't tell if it is fuel or high oil pump. This has been going on for several years, ever since owned truck. Just learned to live with it. It's been to the Cat dealer several times and am told everything checks out OK. I'm thinking the high pressure pump is loosing prime, but where to start? Anyone else have this problem?
IIRC you can remove the HPOP reservoir top and check the oil level after sitting for awhile.
