Hi, First time handling CAT machine. The machine stalls under load and during full stroke relief operations. Fuel filters are new, fuel strainers cleaned, air filter new. All hydraulic filters are new. Im suspecting the hydraulic system, could somebody point out where to start? Thanks in advance.
Serial number ?
There is a screen hiding in one of the banjo bolts. If you haven't cleaned it (or even found it), that's step one. #10 in middle image.
CAT313CCR-CAT0313CCHGF00493 Japan domestic model. For the fuel line systems all clear I found the problem. The pump solenoid in the photo it has only 6v supply from the circuit socket. When we supplied it with 12v the releif is normal and does not stall. Any idea where is the home run for this circuit? What is the correct voltage reading for this circuit? (range?) Is think the voltage should be variably controlled by the computer.
There is no documentation available for the 313C, or indeed a non-Japanese 313C machine that can be used for information. Is the machine 12v or 24v..? I would have thought that the fuel shutoff solenoid would get battery power, whatever that is. I'm not sure if the C model has an engine shutdown timer like the B model. In that case the timer switches a relay that supplies battery power to the shutoff solenoid. Sorry that's the best I can do.
Nige, that "solenoid" in image provided is on the hydraulic pump.
Looks like the powershift PRV. If the fault is only in certain circuits, this is not your problem.
Traced the circuit homerun it goes to the computer and to a bypass switch paralleled as seen on the photos.
My bad. Carry on.
