Hi I have a Cat 314c LCR. Serial number PCA00220 and recently the bucket has been curling in slowly by itself when the machine is idling or off. I’m wondering what the cause of this would be and if it’s something I can fix on my own. I don’t see any hydraulic leaks so I’m guessing maybe a relief valve? Thanks in advance for any help!
Can I assume the bucket is curling by itself while the engine is running at any speed?
Yes it is
The only way that happens is the main control spool for that function is not centering. That could be from a broken spring or some type of contamination. There is a slight possibility that it could be leaking control pressure from the pilot system that is causing the spool not to center also, but it's unlikely.
