I'm looking at a 1995 Cat 315 Excavator but the serial number on the plate starts with 5HK and I can't find that in any reference guide I've seen. I'm assuming it's grey market and was wondering if someone could help me find what is comparable in terms of serial number. My local Cat dealer is useless at this point. Please help and thanks in advance.
The 5HK is a 3054 engine serial number prefix. That 5HK shows up in a 3ZM 315 and 5SW 315B.
That's awesome, thank you for helping me out.
