Chasing a few problems that showed up together one morning on a machine that sits more then it gets run. Serial SPN00784 The first two issues: The travel speed and auto idle functions quit working. Green lights for both on the button control panel running along the glass. The speed light does not change to high and the auto idle light will only stay lite, will not turn off, but auto idle is not working. Tech was out and traced wiring and shows the ecm is receiving that the buttons for both of these functions is being pressed when pressed. Best I understand the ecm the. Has to send signal to make the function change which appears to not be happening. Second issue but started later the same morning: Swing brake will lock at times once the control is stopped or at startup. This was random at first but now almost all the time. The fine swing control swing can be toggled off and if the swing was working properly to start with, the machine will run the rest of the day with no brake just fine. Sometimes you can toggle it off and it unlocked fine. Other times if the brake is locked and won’t unlock when it should, it still does not unlock with the toggle of the switch. Any time brake is locked, restarting the machine makes it unlock. My thought is to try a solenoid. All other functions; ac, radio, lights, etc. work like they should. We have verified voltage to batteries but one thing that does seem odd is the machine monitor shows only 0.5 volts in its readout. It may have always showed that, not sure.
First question. Do you have an electrical schematic.? If not do you want one.?
