Hi all, I've recently taken delivery of a new 320GC with a genuine CAT quick hitch, however in order to unlock the hitch you are required to crowd the bucket right in to load up the hydraulic system to unlatch the hitch. This was fine until we hooked our grapple up to it.... When attempting to unhook the grapple, crowding it right in means it fowls up on the dipper arm so we can't load up the hydraulic system to unlatch the hitch (brand new machine and dipper arm already has a big dent in it!!). Currently the grapple is stuck on the machine until we can find a solution.. Does anyone know a way around this? Can we load up another circuit to unlatch the hitch? Any help or advice greatly appreciated!

If you keep tight against the dent, it will unlatch. Earlier versions stole the couple oil from the pump, rather than the bucket circuit, but, you still have to raise the pump pressure. Either you're gonna have to change the grapple hinge geometry or, possibly, mount grapple in reverse, or, spin the grapple rotate 90°. For right now, either relief the bucket curl by putting the grapple against the arm, or, turn the cab 25° or so and stall the grapple against the track.
