We have flushed and cleaned both radiator and hyd oil cooler. The radiator inlet temp on top is cooler than outlet on bottom. We can see good water flow away from inlet with cap off and engine running. Looking for ideas.
How much of a different in temp from top to bottom of radiator? Don't want too much, 15 degrees or so when at operating temp and thermostat open. Has the thermostat been changed? What type of fan clutch is on it? If it's the viscous/electric type it could be an electrical issue or the fan clutch has crapped out. Make sure hydraulics aren't overheating and in turn getting the engine hot as well. Is it overheating per the gauges? Do your temp readings match temp shown by display?
How did you flush and clean the radiator? remove it and take it to a shop? or run some chemicals through it and blow off the surface with air? How are you measuring the temps that the top comes out cooler than the bottom, and what are those temps when it's overheating? If they don't make sense, shoot the temps on the engine, thermostat housing going to the radiator, and water pump inlet coming from the radiator. Or the hoses.
