Cat 325L excavator idle issues

Hi there I'm currently working on a Cat 325L excavator the issue I am having is that when you go to lift the bucket boom or stick the machine does not idle up. But on the other side of the coin when you track the unit either way and track each track individually the machine idles up automatically. I have spent the past two days going thru this machine looking for broken and or chewed wires I haven't found any yet. Now the pilot line that runs of the joystick that goes to the pressure switch is getting pressure as are the other pilot lines to the pressure sensors. Talking to parts guys at cat there is a specific sensor for the boom and one for each track as well. This has me confused bc there service manager tells me that the sensor for the boom stick and bucket are tied into one of the track sensors, and that if one track tracks and the other doesn't its bad and is why the machine won't idle up when you activate the stick. I would be grateful for any advice on this topic as it is driving me batty. Before i forget the last 8 of the serial # is 8NK01138

You've been given some bad information there. In and around the MCV there will be three pilot pressure switches. One monitors the travel circuit, one monitors boom up and one monitors the implement/swing circuit. You issue seems to be in the circuit that monitors implement/swing pilot pressure and in all probability it is the switch that is faulty. It's a common problem. It's easy to identify which one is the implement/swing switch. So with the engine running, dial position at 10 and the engine auto-idled down, disconnect each switch in turn and bridge the terminals in the harness plug. The travel switch will make the engine idle up and sound the travel alarm, the implement/swing switch will make the engine idle up, the boom raise switch will do nothing. (All assuming the wiring is good). If you can still make out the colours and numbers on the wiring, the implement switch wires are A771 Purple and 200 Black.
