Cat 330c

The hour meter in this Cat 330 i'm operating is not working properly. I was wondering where the fuse would be located and which one it is. I've been looking in the fuse panel on the side of the machine with no luck. Was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on getting this fixed. Also whats the easiest way to remove the hour meter to see if I have any loose wires? Thanks any help would greatly be appreciated on this simple but annoying issue.

I'm not sure what 330c you have but most use the R terminal on the alternator to power the hour meter, The R terminal will feed the Hour meter, Eng/Pump controller and Product link if installed. My guess is the wires came unplugged on the back of the meter or the meter is broken. The meters have been updated a few time for better reliability. The wire on the alt could have also popped off. it just pushes on a little stud. You need to remove the panels to get to the back of the meter, a T30 torx bit to remove a few well hidden screws and the panel will pop off. Check the green wire for power while the engine is running and check the black for continuity to ground. If both are ok then the meter is bad. A replacement meter will come with a sticker to fill out and record the hour it was replaced at.
