hi ever since i bought the hoe i could never get the rear to lock in,i tried pushing on the peddle and nothing.cannot make both wheels spin .any ideas what to look at? thanks mike
The bottom of the case for "extra" parts? There have been a couple of threads regarding Cat backhoe diff locks, one guy found the short fat pins in the drain oil.
If someone was doing a one wheel burn-out, and attempted to lock the diff without backing off the throttle, you can shear the lock pin if it engages. The force to get the stopped wheel moving will snap it.
i guess i will leave it alone for now,it looks like a big job getting into that rearend. thanks mike
