Previous owner chewed up the piston and threaded collar. Looking at replacement options. I can get it rechromed for 250 but the other piece needs replaced Thank you
Any full service hydraulic cylinder repair shop should be able to make those parts. What part of the cylinder are you referring to when say re-chromed for $250.00 ? If the piston is "chewed up", a new replacement is the only long lasting fix for that cylinder. Can you post any photos of the parts. The members here can then offer some help for you.
If you're looking for a used one, machinerytrader has a used parts search on their site. "In need of old backhoe stabilizer cylinder, prefer one only driven to church by grandma" Well, it shouldn't be that hard, but you still want to check the rod pretty good before you buy another junk one.
