Cat 416C, what is this for?

My father purchased a used Cat 416C. It has a wire going to the curl/dump cylinder on the front bucket. It goes into a small box. Is this some type of sensor or what? The bucket doesn't curl at all sometimes, especially loaded. Didn't know if the wire may have something to do with it. MANY MANY THANKS!! AND :usa:usa:usa:usa

    Should be for the "return to dig." If it works right with the lever locked into curl, the bucket will reset itself flat. Some like it, myself I pulled the fuse on the 580 I run along time ago so the return to dig dont work.

    thanks! growing up using a Case 530c/k, I doubt we use this newer feature but who knows???
