The owner of a big scrap yard called and asked me if I was interested in a used 825C Compactor that looked like it would be a good usable machine. I can have it for scrap price, which should be around $7500.00. Sheet metal is straight, compactor wheels look good with good pads, the dozer blade is good, good cab with good glass. The only problem is all the fluids have been drained out of the machine to get it ready to be cut up. No way to tell if it runs or not.:bash Does anybody think this thing is worth me spending time and money on? Are the parts worth anything?:beatsme Thanks
It's probably there for a reason, maybe you could talk to the owner and see what is wrong with it. I know how you feel seeing something useable sitting in line for scrapping.
