Cat 903D lost power going up a hill. Engine seems to run fine, but hydrostatic transmission was weak and slow. It started flashing the regen light when I parked it, so I let it go into parked regen. It started the regen for about 3-4 minutes then suddenly idled down. Brake pedal immediately started shaking violently and now there’s no hydraulics, won’t move, and it has a hollow whirring sound coming from the transmission. Hydraulic/hydrostatic pump failure? What should I start looking at?
I think i would check drive coupling
Ok, thanks. I’ll check it in the morning when I’m back over where it’s located and post an update of what I find.
