Cat 926E Wheel loader: Steering System Problem

The performance of the steering system is poor after the Gerotor unit was removed and resealed because of oil leaks, it is not entirely clear if this performance condition was present prior too the repair, but the steering was operational before and after. Subsequently pressure checks were carried out, the main being 3000psi and the low pressure pilot being only 75psi . the specs. are 2500 and 405 respectively. In an attempt to adjust the pressure reducing valve it was necessary to remove it from the main valve body to free up the adjusting screw, this was refitted and set to the same position, the O rings are in good condition but now I have no pressure and reaction from the adjusting screw. When the Gerotor was repaired it was noted that the input shaft lip seal had partialy poped out and I question if internal pressure leakage is playing a part however the components all appeared to be in good condition. The removal and reintallation of the pressure reducing valve should not cause this condition so I am at a total loss as to whats going on. It would be much appreciated if anybody can throw some light on what might be going on?
