Hi al, Time to replace sprockets with the bolt on ring. What's the best way to cut the old sprocket off and weld the new ring on, accurately? Larry
The attachment might help. Whatever procedure is for D3B will also work for a 931B. There is a school of thought that removing the sprockets and putting them in a vertical borer is the best way to guarantee that the replacement ring will be true when installed.
Thank very much!
A friend helped me cut the rims off on the machine. We used a large curve-o- mark radius marker that holds a soapstone. Need to center punch the cap on the machine in the middle or have a tight fitting shaft with a center mark to fit inside the sprocket splines. Could probably use a round plate sitting on a spacer too as long as the center punch was dead center. You could probably place the new rim over top if you remove the sprockets.
