Cat 941B – which engine?

Quick question, which engine does my 941B 70H4428 have, is it a D330 or a 3304? in a brochure i got here it states D330 knocking out 80 HP, but it doesn't look like the D330 in my D4D Is there an easy way to tell the difference?

    Looks to me like a 3304 but not 100% sure. Does look very close to the 3306's I used to work on in the 966C loaders

    The engine you have is the 3304, it has the same basic size as the 330C engine. tctractors

    As Tony & KSH say, your engine is a 3304. From machine 80H3884 onwards until end of production at 80H6850 the 330 engine was replaced with the 3304, so relatively speaking you have one of the early ones.

    For 70H prefix the magic number is 70H4264 and up. End of production was 70H6109.
