Has anyone ran some of the new hybrid excavators? If so are they as good as they say they are?

Thanks Rodger for pointing me in the direction of that post. That was your hybrid in that picture posted on that page right? How is it working out for you. Great looking machine. I like the logo under the arm.

Hi Smooth, yes it is mine. It has now done 200hrs, apart from the quick hitch pipe it has been trouble free. We are very impressed indeed with it, fuel consumption has gone up to 17lts ph now, this is solely due to it tracking between a screen and crusher keeping both going, when loading either the screen or crusher it reverts to 14.8lts ph, also loading our A 30s in 5 passers of its 2.75m3 bucket in under a minute it is using 14.8lts ph. For a comparison our 324EL is using the same amount of fuel, we have a hired in Komatsu 210L with 1,000hrs, it has used 23lts ph in that time!!! The machine is very fast, extremely smooth and a very nice quiet place to spend a day, mainly due to the 1500rpm engine speed. Its ability to slew uphill with a full bucket is mighty due to the accumulators boosting it. The "Logo" stands out from a long distance, it is also fully reflective, very striking in the dark.

14.8 is huge compaired to the 210s 23. Sounds like an all around good machine. CAT pulls it off again haha. I'm from the states so I'm not used to the litters and meters. Took me a minute to convert everything you were saying lol. How much is a brand new one if you don't mind. If you have a US dollar amount it would help if not no worries.
