Hi there fellows mechanics , i have to deal with a D6T serial#WCG00003 , it stalls every 30 seconds or so, starts right up again, Question : should the electrical priming pump also run while the engine is running or is it used only for priming after servicing? The wires to the push button are also damaged and cut out , so i cant find the other end , so if some one can help with a wiring diagram and fuse box information please ?
The priming pump is only for filling the system after a fuel filter change, or for purging air from the fuel system. Your machine Serial Number does not seem to exist, as in there is no build data for it. Got a photo of the plate.? For an electrical schematic check your message inbox. fortunately all WCG-prefix machines share the same electrical schematic.
Correct serial# WCG00338
I was on it again today, but as usual i dont have acces to an cat ET but i used a jaltest for the diagnostic, symptoms : engine stalls and runs a coulple times 4 or 5 times and then shuts off, but when starting it starts right away , and stalls again. Jaltest scan results : shows that are some issues with the parameters wich i doubt. Fuel supply is ok, i rewired the priming pump so fuel system is bleeded correctly. I am trying to figure out if its an electrical issue or just the fuel.system
I think without ET you might struggle to determine where the fault lies.
Here's a thought. Can you access Diagnostic Codes using the operator monitor.? Also read the Click Box thread in the Shop Talk forum. You can McGyver something to clear Codes with no more than a couple of pieces of insulated automotive wire.
I found the following codes on the dashboard. E179 , E081 , E090 , P33 , P88 , P33 , P34, G70. Starts right away runs for about a minute oil light starts blinking and after that it shuts off, i unplugged the oil sensor and it runs fine doesnt stalls
To which "oil sensor" are you referring.? Your Events/Codes E179 - Alternator not charging E081 - not recognized. E090 - also not recognised. I've never seen any of the others in your list before - P33 , P88 , P33 , P34, G70. See the attachment from Page 14 onwards. Can you confirm that you are accessing the Events/Codes the correct way.? Maybe post some photos of what you arre seeing on the screen.
oil pressure sensor next to the starter . i will try to take som pictures of the codes .
See the attachment a couple of posts above and confirm that you are accessing the Codes in the correct way.
