Working on a Cat D6T, trying to figure out why the instrument panel is doing nothing. No screen, no lights, no needle movement. It's not the panel itself. Swapped with a known good one. Reading around 21v at the battery power wire going in, and around 24v at the key switch wire. Any insight would be appreciated.
tier 4 machine I assume?
We had ours go out over the winter Was running it, got out to run excavator for 20 min. The boss got in the 6t and the dash just quit. No lights the needles were stuck in position but wouldn't move if turned on and off. Under warranty cat replace the whole dash. The mechanic sayed he does one every few weeks.
I wonder why you only have 21 volts at the bat + wire. It should be 24 too.
