I have a D6 dozer, an older one with a pony motor. The only number that I can find on it is 3F1956T.The main clutch needs to be replaced . Does anyone know how much it would cost to replace it? Or do you know how long it takes to replace one? Thanks
I would go over to the ACMOC antique caterpillar machinery owners club, Lots of help there
They usually are not hard to rebuild. Getting it out of the tractor is the hardest part.
I would guess about 10 to 12 hours labor if you pull the flywheel and get it machined. It's been a while since I've done one so that number could be off a little.
