Houston, we have a problem...the hydraulic oil cooler on our 1989 Cat EL200B excavator has sprung a leak...again. Seems that the core is shot and the last repair involved shutting down five passages and then it sprung another leak when we reinstalled it. Not wanting to (but may have to) buy a new one, I was hoping someone here might share some knowledge about re-coring one of these coolers. Has anyone here done it? Is it a viable solution or should I just be looking for a replacement? If it HAS been done, are there any specific issues or information I need to address so I'm not right back to square one? Would a regular, full-service radiator shop recore work or do I need to look for something heavier-duty? Thanks for any and all input, even that questioning my intelligence... Ed
