Why won't they sell it. I don't know of anything that cannot be bought for a price. Did you ask them to give it to you.
We hear it all the time. The local dealers hate selling it to customers because they lose shop business. If you are a big customer, your salesman or Product support rep can work wonders. Out of territory dealers will hook you up because they have no skin in the game other than some profit on the sale.
Also don't forget their profit on the annual subscription renewal to keep it working.......
That's something some might not realize, ET is not like a ratchet, you don't "own" it you are just renting it's use for the year. Once the year is up it will stop working. Unlike sockets and ratchets that if taken care of will last you many years or decades! Now if Snap-On figures out how to do this to their hand tools we are in big trouble
Latest versions of ET (as Ken will testify) have a countdown clock built into them. Each time you open up the program it tells you how many days are left until the annual subscription expires. And you can't fool it by something as simple as changing the date on your computer either .......
Crap, I used to change the date on my laptop when my JD Service Adviser disks expired and the service manager would forget to give me new ones. Cat has to ruin all the fun.
