Hi guys, have a question about my cat 320L which we're still improving. On the top right of the screen it has letters and numbers come up from time to time. Used to be just 1 or A1. Asked cat and they were baffled, no info in their manuals. A week ago I was doing some delicate work at idle and the number went up to 3, then due to an ongoing hydraulic sensor issue it stalled under load and went to 5. This got me nervous. Are these threat levels here? Yesterday stalled again and when it restarted it was on 10. Today I took it off a transporter and it went down to 9. ***.?
That should just be the throttle position. There are no threat levels. Are you running in backup mode or using the throttle control on right console?
Thanks Mobiltech, throttle got fried so have a manual version on it at the moment. String. The numbers don't change if its at idle or full revs, so maybe it has put itself into another mode?
The throttle knob in the cab signals the computer which then controls the engine speed and some of the pump controls. If you are running with a manual throttle you probably aren't getting full pump output. You want to see 10 on the dash when you're at full throttle.
Thanks Mobiltech, good to know.
