any one have cat next gen. Excavator any reviews, good machine? Thanks
There are about 20 ish videos on YouTube from Cat about them. Go watch them. Our customers seem to like them just fine. I’ve had hands on them since they came on the market. You can get the GC model without the boom and chassis and payload sensors if you don’t want them. Each bucket has to be measured up and weigh calibration done for initial use...not hard all you need is a tape measure, plumb bob and level. We do it upon predelivery for each bucket with machine. Rented a 2020 330 GC model for a month back in May for a good sized earth moving project. My guys and myself liked the machine. Being a GC model it didn't have the tech on it but it was a fast, strong tractor. The controls took a minute to get used to as they were more touchy than our 325FL or 321DL. The next hoe we buy we'll probably upsize from a 325 to a 335 or whatever Cat is going to call the Next Gen 335. I want the tech version not the GC just for the payload system if nothing else. The other tech items are just a plus.
