Hi all. I have a 2001 cat th83 with a 3054 motor. Put a used motor in it, but it doesn't run right. Keep getting air in the system. Ran it out of a bucket after the primary filter. Already put a new lift pump in. Checked the cold start assist heater coming off the intake. Seems to be somewhere between the secondary filter and the injectors. Checked the injectors for combustion gas blow back. In the process of changing out some of the fuel line seals. TIA
If the injector return line goes back into the filter, u should probably replace all the external hoses, seals and gaskets..
Did replacing the lines solve the air problem?

That's what I was hoping, just getting ready to tear into mine, same problem, air in the fuel filter. Mine doesn't get a lot of use, maybe 10 hours a year, so I'm thinking maybe the fuel lines should be replaced first.
