Cat928F Diesel Fuel Pick-up Tube

I have a customer w-928F wheel loader that is pulling air around pick-up tube in fuel tank.Cat said yuo have to replace the whole fuel tank that you cannot buy just the pick-up tube. I removed the fuel lione and fitting that goes in the metal block that is welded on top of fuel tank. The pickup looks like it is a flared tube that fits at the bottom of the block. I cannot tell how the tube was sealed in the block or if you can remove it. I would appreciate any information on this matter. Thank you for your time. Steve931:usa:usa
