I would like to find out if someone could walk me through hydrolic track adjuster removal and reseal percedures, on caterpillar d6c ser # 10 . Adjuster will not pump up , and grease leaks out around shaft. Not shure if track has to be seporated, but if it does, I do have alagator style pin that unbolts. thank you
Haul the idler forward and hold it there. take the 4 bolts out of the cyl and flange. Pry the cyl back and try to pull the piston out with channel locks. Evaluate the front seal condition and replace if bad. That might fix it but the cyl might need replacing aswell. That's more work to get out. Later Bob
