Hi everyone, I have a small 2011 John Deere 244J wheel loader, has 2,000 hours, when does one replace center pin(s), im new to this type of equipment but always see used equipment for sale here and there and the ad may state tight pins, replaced pins etc. just trying to learn...thanks ahead of time
With proper greasing you should get 10,000+ hrs out of the center pins.
One should get that many hours but I've never seen it on any mini wheel loader. 6,000 is real good but most only do around 500 hours are year. You have a long way to go if you grease it when you should.
Thank you both for the replies!
512high- If your every curious, you can park your loader on flat ground and have someone watch from the side, caution not to get in the pinch point, but slowly power down on the bucket and then pick it back up slightly. By doing this, you are flexing if you will, the center pin joint which will allow you to see if there is any slack in the pin/bushing area.
Thanks Killbox Alpha and others, great advice, although its a small wheel loader, I have a lot to learn, you guys are the pros......trust me , there will be more questions in the future!
